Week in Review 3
This week was fun and crazy. Highlights from this week include: Health seminar on MOnday with an awesome guy from     South Africa. It was so cool. Not only did he have the coolest accent ever but he was so full of great information. I love learning about nutrition things especially since I want to be a personal trainer. Since the seminar I have been trying to chew more and not drink with meals and eat a salad first and just eat healthier. It’s hard to remember to chew so many times before swallowing. Tuesday we had a great girls night. It has been so neat to see girls really open up about their lives. I think it is helping our group bond quickly. Wednesday we had book discussion. I do enjoy book discussion for the most part but it seems to get dragged out. Because one person will say something and then 4 people after them will say “like so and so said” and then repeat almost the exact same thing. Talking about what I am reading does help me remember and internalize it but it’s hard sometimes to not get annoyed with people. I kinda wish we  could limit it to 4 people giving comments per chapter and then move on. BUt I won’t complain because it is a great opportunity. Thursday, oh my goodness, Thursday night was so much fun. We were told to dress in a Mulan theme, and since I love to dress up that great. I ended up wearing my Snuggie as my outfit to dinner. But while all the girls were standing in line there were no boys and we were wondering what was going on. Then two boys started walking out and then out of no where all the boys came climbing, jumping, and running in from all directions dressed like nijas. It was actually kinda scary, I screamed which is not a usual happening. We took lots of pics and had a great time.
Friday we had our Moody class with Josh which was really fun and then we had life skills. In life skills we first learned how to get out of a head lock which was sweet, then we learned how to draw. It was a very fun class. Then I worked from 3-8 in Ponderosa dining serving and busing tables. We were serving a women’s conference this weekend. So what do you get when you combine 500 hungry women on vacation, an open buffet, and no guys around? A group of 500 women gorging themselves on food, pop, and dessert. I was impressed a few times by the amount of food those women could put away. Saturday I worked from 6am-8pm which was ok except for the fact that I woke up sick that morning. So that was not too fun. Sunday worked from 6am-3pm and then Emily, Kaylee, and I went down the mountain. I was/am still sick so the drive down with altitude change hurt my head like crazy. I can’t remember a time my ears hurt so bad. Down in Fresno we stopped by Target, ate Sushi, and then hit Walmart to get some yarn and crochet hooks. We had some good girl time and I really enjoyed getting to talk to my family, two best friends, and my best friend’s families.
